The Chordettes” is the stage name of our chorus from Teignmouth Ladies Barbershop Harmony Singers. We were formed in 1974 and are one of the founder clubs in the Ladies Association of Barbershop Singers. We won the British Ladies Barbershop Championships in 1992 and represented Britain in America in 1994. In 2005 we came top of Division 2 in the British Ladies Barbershop Chorus Championships to win the Peter Caller Trophy.
We won our class at the Exeter Music Festival in 2005 and at the Torbay Music Festival in 2007.
In 2008 we competed at the LABBS convention in Harrogate and won a trophy for "Most Improved Chorus"
“The Chordettes” are now about 50 members strong and comprise ladies from all ages and walks of life, bound together by a love of singing in close harmony.
